The Emmy awards has once again snubbed “Power”, and Curtis Jackson, more popularly known as 50 Cent wasted no time in letting them know how he feels.
“ok here it is Emmy’s, My Black bleep for your consideration to kiss”, he wrote in the caption of a photo he posted to social media, that depicted his derriere yesterday after the 2020 Emmy’s completed list was posted.
50 went on to say, “bleep your organization I only care about NAACP awards”, Power has received 11 NAACP Image Award nominations that resulted in five wins from 2016-2019, which may be why he has such respect for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
While garnering positive reviews since its premiere in 2014, Power became one of Starz’s most highly rated shows, and one of the most-watched shows anywhere on cable.
But, even with success with critics and viewers, it has never translated into Emmy nominations of any kind during its six-year run that ended this past February.
