Rapper Meek Mill is expecting a child soon, but a child is not the only thing coming his way,
Meek is facing a lawsuit alleging that he stole lyrics to “Cold Hearted 2” and “100 Summer” and tried to pass them off as his own.
The copyright infringement suit comes from a Philadelphia record label that claims he Stole the two songs from them. Dream Rich Entertainment filed suit against Meek last month, accusing his record label Dream Chasers and parent company Atlantic Records of civil conspiracy to commit copyright infringement.
In court documents, Dream Rich said Meek had access to one of its songwriter’s lyrics and recorded them for his 2018 album, Championships.
The label is seeking at least $75,000 for each alleged infraction, or more than $300,000.
Meek has yet to respond to the case.
