Talk show host and comedian Jimmy Fallon is under fire after a blackface routine he did years ago resurfaced online.
The comedian did a performance back in 2000 impersonating comedian Chris Rock wearing blackface.
20 years later he issued an apology stating “While on SNL, I made a terrible decision to do an impersonation of Chris Rock while in blackface. There is no
excuse for this, “I am very sorry for making this unquestionably offensive decision and thank all of you for holding me accountable.”
Actor Jamie Fox assured Fallon that he is a good man saying in an Instagram post yesterday “Bro you ain’t got to apologize, You are a comedian… and a great one at that.
You did an incredible impersonation of Chris Rock… it was not blackface… we did a show called In Living Color where we did Characters from every race… You are all the way good… keep doing you my friend! You are necessary!’
Chris Rock is yet to make a statement.
