After a nearly two week delay, the Ministry of Health and Wellness has deployed its mobile testing units.

The units which were to be deployed earlier this month, were put on hold to facilitate upgrades.

In a Facebook post yesterday (Mon), Portfolio Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton, said the units have been cleared for duty.

He explained that he visited the Cornpiece community in Hayes Clarendon, which is under quarantine, to see the units in operation.

The units are fully equipped with staff, gloves, masks and other necessities and will allow the ministry to expand its testing capabilities.
