EURO 2020 POSTPONED UNTIL NEXT SUMMER, UEFA CONFIRMS

Euro 2020 has been postponed by one year until 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Uefa, European football’s governing body, is holding an emergency video conference involving major stakeholders today (Tues).

The Norwegian FA says it was decided that the tournament will now take place from June 11 to July 11 next year.

Reports are that the decision will be signed off by Uefa later today.

The tournament was due to take place from June 12 -July 12 this year at 12 venues across Europe.
