Tourism Minister Ed Bartlett says he has called for the establishment of an emergency fund, to deal with the Coronavirus.
He says the fund, would finance solutions such as a vaccine for the virus, which has spread to more than a dozen countries.
Mr. Bartlett explains that the questions of where the fund would reside and how it would be managed, would be handled by the World Tourism Organization WTO, World Travel and Tourism Council.
The Tourism Minister states that leaders from institutions across the world, have expressed support for the establishment of the Fund.
He adds that a conference will be held next week, to speak to the resilience of tourism industries, to pandemics and endemics such as the new Coronavirus.
