Senegalese Singer Akon, who has been noticably silent for almost a decade is back with new music!
This time, the new single called “Akon’s Beautiful Day” produced by Konvict Kulture, is expected to be released this Friday (October 4).
Akon’s Beautiful Day samples Jamaican gospel artiste, Jermaine Edwards’ powerful hit single “Beautiful Day” as as well as features the viral hook sung over by Rushawn a Jamaican student who went viral for his cover of same song.
Over the weekend, Akon reposted a video of Hyper Kids Africa, dancing to a snippet of the soon to be released single.
Social media users are eager for the release, with fans hoping to hear Rushawn’s version incorporated in Akon’s version. One fan commented “I’m hoping you featured that little boy on this” while another commented “I Hope that little kid got paid”.
