Jamaican international star, Shaggy is continuing his efforts in giving back to the children of the beleaguered Bustamante Children’s hospital, a month after he and his “Make A Difference Foundation” came under heavy scrutiny after a newspaper report.
Shaggy, whose real name is Orville Burrell, yesterday donated to the patients, Christmas treats according to his Instagram post.
In the post, he also alluded to the report and the negative repercussions that came with it and said despite this, “no one will ever derail us from our mission [as] the caring continues”.
The report claimed that despite handing over a symbolic cheque for $100 million last year, Shaggy and his foundation, failed to deliver on a promise to purchase beds for the intensive care unit (ICU) at the hospital, forcing the two-time grammy awardee to clear the air.
In the post, Shaggy not only showed the gifts but also extended gratitude for every one who assisted.
