Blue Green Red Denied Clearance

Share

Drake's track, ‘Blue Green Red,’ which formed part of his 100 Gigs EP, was removed from the tracklist, and now we have confirmation why.

Following several fan enquiries, Boi-1da, Drake’s producer on the track, confirmed that the song was removed due to a clearance issue. According to Boi-1da, the song could possibly be up again once the legal issues have been sorted.

According to reports, the song improperly samples elements of Tiger’s 1991 hit single "When,” and according to Jamaican producer Cleveland “Clevie” Browne, his publishers were approached by Drizzy’s team for clearance; however, he was not given the actual song to review, which meant that it was impossible to clear it.
