Jamaica and China have agreed to focus on increasing trade between the two countries.

This was part of discussions Prime Minister Andrew Holness had with China’s President Xi Jinping during his recent official visit to China.

A statement from the Office of the Prime Minster said the focus is to encourage more Jamaican goods and services to be exported to the Chinese market.

This process has already begun with the export of live lobster into china.
