The Management of the University of Technology, UTECH and the Students Union have reportedly reached an agreement on measures to be taken, in a bid to lessen any adverse effect from the recent strike taken by lecturers.

This in the wake of a meeting involving UTECH’s President and members of the student body. In a statement last evening, President of the Union, Khalil Hutchinson noted six main areas of concern for which proposals have been made to and accepted by UTECH’s management.

With regards to examinations, UTECH’s administrators agree that only materials taught would be tested on the exam scripts. For lab classes make up sessions would be held to cover content.

With regards to the semester schedule, there will be no extension of the semester period and the times slotted for study breaks remain as is.
