Jamaica’s rising sprint star Briana Williams will start the final leg of her race for an unlikely appearance at the 2019 IAAF World Championship in Doha today.
She’s down to face the Independent anti-doping disciplinary panel chaired by Attorney Kent Gammon and including Dr. Madre Vassell and Denise Forest.
The panel convened for a preliminary hearing this month at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel where Williams and her representative opted to proceed with a hearing on September 23, 24 and 25.
Williams tested positive for the banned diuretic, hydrochlorothiazide at the national trials in June.
