PALMER AND ANTONIO IN NATIONS LEAGUE BEST XI

Share

Reggae Boyz Michail Antonio and Kasey Palmer have made the League A Best XI following the action in the September window of the Concacaf Nations League.

They were deemed to be among the 11 players that stood out the most at their respective positions after both performed creditably to help Jamaica come away with 4 points from their opening 2 games, after playing to a nil-all draw with Cuba before recording a 2-1 win on the road against Honduras.

The League A Best XI also includes goalkeeper Nicholas Hagen (Guatemala), defenders José Pinto (Guatemala), Juan Pablo Vargas (Costa Rica) and Francisco Calvo (Costa Rica).

Palmer, named Player of The Match in Jamaica’s opener against Cuba, was a rock defensively in midfield with eight steals, while also completing 92.42 percent of his passes and being a constant threat in attack.

He features in the midfield alongside David Ruiz (Honduras), Kervin Arriaga (Honduras) along with Jordan Leborgne (Guadeloupe).

The forward line in the meantime includes Antonio – who scored Jamaica’s second goal against Honduras – and Isaiah Jones (Guyana) and Virgil Misidjan (Suriname).
