Additionally, there is a Low-Level Jet Stream across the Caribbean Basin.

The Met Office says this High Pressure Ridge should remain across Jamaica through to Sunday.

On Monday, a Tropical Wave is expected to move across the island.

Expect windy conditions across southern parishes mainly during the afternoons due to the presence of the Low-Level Jet Stream.

A Low-Level Jet Stream is a relatively narrow band of strong wind in the low levels of the atmosphere.

This morning will be partly cloudy across eastern parishes.

This afternoon expect isolated showers across sections of western and hilly inland areas. It will also be windy across southern parishes.

Tonight will become fair.

A Small Craft Warning remains in effect for offshore areas of the south coast due to strong winds and rough seas.
