A man listed by the Hanover Police as most wanted man is now in custody, after he surrendered yesterday.
He is 24-year-old Towayne Gunning, otherwise known as ‘Tuffy,’, a labourer of Rock Spring District.
Gunning had been on the run since December 2023, following his alleged involvement in a murder in Green Island.
He was also allegedly involved in a shootout with police on April 2, 2024, during which he escaped.
He is facing charges for both incidents.
The police also identified Gunning as a person of interest in relation to several other gun-related crimes in the parish.
Investigations into these offences are to be carried out.
