Double Olympic champion and quadruple world championship gold medal winner Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will be among the headliners for the third renewal of the Racers/Adidas Grand Prix on June 8th inside the national stadium.
Fraser-Pryce will contest the women’s 100m for which world double junior champion Brianna Williams and the Trinidadian pair of Michele-Lee Aye and Kellyann Baptiste have already been confirmed.
Asafa Powell going for his 100th sub-10 clocking will be in the men’s event alongside defending champion Darnel Hughes of Great Britain, Nesta Carter, Kemar Bailey-Cole and 2015 world championships bronze medallist Trayvon Brommell of the USA.
The meet which features an overall 130 athletes from 15 countries competing in 19 events in three hours will also be highlighted by the women’s 400m which include Olympic champion Shaunae Miller Uibo of the Bahamas who will renew rivalry with the American 2017 world champion Phyllis Francis, with Jamaicans Christine Day and Krissan Gordon also confirmed for the event.
