EMAIL SCAM TARGETS NCB CUSTOMERS

The National Commercial Bank NCB has warned customers to be wary of phishing emails, following reports of a fraudulent message sent to customers recently.

The bank says in an attempt to steal information from customers, fraudsters have sent out a series of disguised e-mails, asking to click on the link to update their personal banking information.

The link then takes the unsuspecting customers to a fake webpage which bears an uncanny resemblance to NCB’s online banking portal.

This kind of fraud more commonly known as phishing, occurs when scammers try to trick unwary persons into diverging their passwords and other private information via email.
