Dancehall artist Konshens says he does not believe his 160 million views is historical.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Konshens expressed his disapproval of an article published by Jamaica Star which highlighted that the music video for his single, Bruck Off Mi Back” amassed more than 160 million views on Youtube.
The artiste who took issue with the achievement being described as ‘historical’ also expressed his disapproval of being compared to Jamaican artistes, Spice, Charly Blacks and Gyptian who have amassed more than 80 million views of their “Suh Mi Like It”, “Party Animal” and “Wine Slow” music videos respectively.
While he may not believe this accomplishment is historical, other local entertainers have congratulated him. In the comment below his post, Shaggy wrote: “Congratulations mi G’ great achievement”
Ding Dong wrote: “Yute yuh si youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu BIGUP yuhself bro bro”
Rvssian wrote: “Big on big ‼️”
There were more comments from other entertainers such as Romeich, Ragin Fyah, DJ Bravo and DJ Norie.
So since Konshens doesn’t see the largely viewed music video as history, what is historical for him?
