Minister without Portfolio Karl Samuda, who has been given temporary responsibility for Cabinet-level supervision of the Ministry of Education, Youth & Information, is scheduled to brief Prime Minister Andrew Holness on Monday, March 25, concerning the affairs at the ministry, and make recommendations for fixing identified issues.
Mr. Samuda was given the responsibility following the resignation of Ruel Reid last week and the ministry’s transfer to the Office of the Prime Minister.
Mr. Samuda says, since then, he has had meetings with all heads of agencies within the ministry, including those at the Caribbean Maritime University.
