Ten people were arrested following the seizure of three high-powered rifles along with 147 rounds of ammunition in Salt Spring, St James over the last 24 hours.
According to a report from the police’s Corporate Communications Unit CCU, the ten were arrested this morning following the seizure of three rifles and 137 assorted rounds of ammunition in Bucktoe Lane about 7:00 am.
The weapons include a KM Tactical AR15 rifle, one Colt Carbine M16 rifle and one Anderson KM AM15 rifle.
Meanwhile, a fourth weapon an M16 rifle, was seized in Dooney’s Corner in the community yesterday about 7:35 am.
No one was arrested in relation to that seizure.
