Cricket West Indies could be called on to fork out in the region of US$400,000 as former West Indies coach Phil Simmons has claimed damages of more than US$300,000 with the final sum to be agreed on at a court in Antigua on March 26.

This as Cricket West Indies has been forced to admit liability in a case brought against them by Simmons for unfair dismissal as West Indies coach.

Simmons was sacked in September 2016, having complained publicly about interference in the selection of sides.

This comes up as incumbent president Dave Cameron stands for re-election of Cricket West Indies at the annual general meeting of the board on Sunday.
