Police report number of vehicles stolen at Long Walk to Freedom concert


The Police are appealing to motorists to always utilize designated Car Parks when attending any event in order to lower the risks of theft or damage to their vehicles and its contents.

The appeal comes following reports of a number of motor vehicles being stolen at undesignated areas from patrons who attended the Long Walk to Freedom concert which was held at the National Stadium on Saturday, March 16.

Reports are that five (5) motor vehicles were stolen, two (2) of which have since been recovered.

There was also an incident of a car being broken into and its personal items stolen.

The Police said none of the five (5) cases of stolen motor vehicles or the break-in of the car took place at the designated Car Parks at Heroes Park or at the National Stadium.
