Former USA track star Carmelita Jeter will receive an honorary doctorate from California State University Dominguez Hills (CSUDH).
The Daegu 2011 World 100m champion, will receive her honorary doctorate on May 17.
Jeter, who helped The USA to the London 2012 women’s 4x100m title, could not hold back the excitement in a broadcast on her social media page on Friday.
Jeter won three Olympic Games medals, seven at the World Championships and one at the World Indoor Championships.
