Two women who have identified as girlfriends of singer R. Kelly say their parents are extorting the singer for money.

In an interview with CBS reporter on Wednesday, Gayle King, Azriel Clary and Joselyn Savage accused their parents of blackmailing R. Kelly.

Azriel told Gayle King that her parents told her to get pictures and videos of herself having sexual relations with R. Kelly.

Moments after the interview aired, the legal team of the parents say they never requested money from the singer.

Attorney Michael Avenatti, who represents Alice and Angelo Clary, Azriel’s parents, responded with this statement.

“Azriel Clary is suffering from years of mental abuse and manipulation by R. Kelly.”

The women maintain that their parents are trying to extort the singer. The attorneys for both families have said they have never asked for or received any money from Kelly. The parents of the two women also deny they sold their daughters to him.

In a portion of the interview between R. Kelly and Gayle that aired Wednesday, Kelly alleged the young women’s parents arranged for him to meet their daughters, sought money from him and threatened to ruin his career.

Attorney Gerald Griggs, who represents the Savage family, provided physical copies of receipts for flights and expenses to prove that the family never received money from Kelly.

Azriel and Jocelyn are two women who have been reportedly living with R. Kelly for 2 to 3 years.
