The people of East Portland will go to the polls on Monday, March 25 to vote for a new Member of Parliament. Prime Minister Andrew Holness announced the day for the by-election at a Jamaica Labour Party mass meeting in Port Antonio last night.
Nomination day will be next Friday, March 8.
The JLP’s Ann-Marie Vaz and the People’s National Party’s Damion Crawford are contesting the by-election.
The seat became vacant following the murder of Dr. Lynvale Bloomfield last month.
