Flash Flood Watch is currently in effect for low lying and flood prone areas of eastern parishes until 5 p.m. today, February 14.

A Cold Front currently situated just west of Jamaica has been producing unstable weather conditions across the island since late last night.

Satellite imagery and rainfall data indicate that light to moderate and at times heavy showers have been affecting sections of eastern parishes since midnight.

The forecast is for periods of showers, which could be heavy at times, to continue across eastern parishes throughout the morning, spreading to most parishes while accompanied by thunderstorms this afternoon into tonight.

Small Craft operations should also exercise caution both inshore and offshore the north coast due to expected thunderstorm activity.
