Tempers flared over separation settlement for Petrojam HR manager

Tempers flared during today’s sitting of the public accounts committee of parliament over a question regarding a separation settlement for the human resource manager at Petrojam.

Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister, Sancia Bennett-Templer was tight-lipped as to whether the former human resources manager at Petrojam was offered a settlement agreement.

Petrojam’s HR Manager, Yolande Ramharrack resigned on November 22 last year in the midst of the Petrojam scandal after allegations of nepotism and questions over her qualifications and compensation package.

It’s reported that she received a gross separation payment $9.2 million even though there were “unresolved issues” related to her employment at the state-owned oil refinery
