Rihanna may not be giving us R9 anytime soon, but at least she’s letting the Navy know the vault is very much stocked.
During a TikTok livestream for Fenty Beauty, Rihanna was asked how much unreleased music she has. After giving the question, a familiar eye-roll, she offered fans a surprisingly generous clue.
“If there are 10 products in a vault, then I have at least 17 vaults,” she said.
Ziptocrats, let's do the math and that’s potentially 170 unreleased tracks.
Rihanna didn’t clarify how many are finished, album-ready or destined to ever see the light of day, but the revelation was enough to send the livestream audience into celebration mode. She even sounded a few sirens before moving on.
It’s been more than a decade since Anti arrived in January 2016, and Rihanna has spent much of the time since building her Fenty empire rather than releasing albums. There have been collaborations and soundtrack appearances along the way, but no ninth studio album.
