Rapper Tory Lanez’s Prison Tapes series appears to have come to an abrupt end after his recording equipment was confiscated during a cell block raid.

According to TMZ, prison officials seized the "Say It" singer's makeshift studio setup, which he had been using to release music from behind bars. Lanez launched the Prison Tapes series in July and had already released nine songs.

Ceasar McDowell, Chief Deputy on Lanez’s legal team and CEO of Unite the People, confirmed the news. He explained that prisoners are prohibited from having recording devices, which ultimately led to the seizure of Lanez’s equipment.
