Céline Dion really said “A New Day Has Come” and in the most spectacular way! SHE'S BACK!
The Canadian icon returned to the stage on Saturday (September 12) at Paris’ Plénitude Arena, marking her first full concert in six years and her first performance since being diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome in 2022.
And chile, Céline did not come to play, with the vocals nor the fashion statements! The 58-year-old superstar kicked off the first night of her 26-show Paris residency with an emotional performance of 29 songs, including “My Heart Will Go On,” while rocking five jaw-dropping couture looks.
Styled by longtime collaborator Annie Horth, Dion served everything from a dramatic black Dior gown and custom Schiaparelli to Givenchy, Haider Ackermann for Tom Ford and Alaïa.
Her opening Dior look was paired with a spectacular Boucheron diamond necklace featuring a 10.1-carat diamond and more than 1,100 hours of craftsmanship.
But beyond the fashion and the powerhouse vocals, it was the emotion that had fans in their feelings.
Fighting back tears, Dion told the crowd she had promised herself she wouldn’t cry and thanked them for their patience and support.
“I made a promise to come back, to be back on stage. So here I am.”
And just like that, Céline Dion is officially back, and our hearts will go on.
