While some people are bashing him for rape, some fans of American singer Chris Brown seem to be getting frustrated with all the negativity been thrown at the superstar.

On Monday evening, an unnamed 24-year-old woman accused Brown of raping her in his suite at Paris’ Mandarin Oriental hotel, during the night of January 15-16. The woman told Paris police that she met brown in a nightclub in central Paris earlier that evening, and that brown invited her, along with other women, back to his suite. At some point in the evening, she alleged, she found herself in a room alone with brown, and that it was then that he allegedly raped her. Brown’s accuser also said that a friend of the singer and his bodyguard also abused her.

Since then, brown has been arrested in Paris, accused of aggravated rape and drug violations. Now some fans on twitter are defending the artiste. These are some of the posts:

Soon as Chris brown started owning his masters, all of these accusations start popping up !!! it has become a cycle. I see right through this industry #chrisbrown”

Chris brown been minding his business and yall gonna arrest him based on a rape complaint with no evidence smh”

I think we need to investigate before we judge. chris brown has been an easy target for many years now. not saying he’s perfect, not saying this isn’t his karma but rape is serious and I hope they carefully look into it before we label him a rapist.”

“no matter how many times yall will try to end him or wish bad for him/his career, he will never quit. chris brown is living legend. the only thing that will stop him will be his death but his music will not die. chris brown is innocent, get a life and leave him alone”

The singer has had several run-ins with the law, including physical assault charges following an incident with his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, in 2009. He was charged with felony assault and making criminal threats in that incident, and received five years’ probation and community service.
