The new head of the Crime and Security Portfolio takes up duties today.
He is Deputy Commissioner of Police DCP Richard Stewart.
He takes over the reigns from DCP Fitz Bailey, who retired after 40 years in the force.
DCP Stewart was transferred from the administration portfolio.
The update was published in the force orders on Friday.
Meanwhile, National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang, says he supports the selection made by Commission Dr. Kevin Blake.
Dr. Chang highlighted the work done by DCP Stewart over the years and says he looks forward to working with him.
