American pop star Lizzo and her touring company, Big Grrrl Touring, have secured a complete legal victory after a federal judge dismissed a harassment and discrimination lawsuit filed by former wardrobe designer Asha Daniels.
Daniels originally filed the suit in 2023 following the singer's Special Tour, alleging she faced sexual harassment and a hostile work environment.
In a ruling handed down on Tuesday, Federal Judge Fernando Aenlle-Rocha granted summary judgment in favor of Lizzo's team, stating that Daniels failed to produce evidence proving any labor or discrimination laws were broken.
While Lizzo's attorneys praised the total dismissal of the case, a separate 2023 lawsuit filed against the Grammy-winning artist by three former backup dancers remains active.
