Chris Brown says his Usher tour schedule is making it tough to squeeze an ongoing legal battle into his calendar!
The "No Guidance" singer is currently on a nationwide R&B tour with Usher, which has him bouncing from city to city for concerts throughout the year.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Brown is pushing back against a request to appear at a Van Nuys courthouse, where his former housekeeper, Maria Avila, wants to examine his finances and bank statements as she tries to collect the $13 million judgment she was awarded following a dog attack at Brown’s Los Angeles home.
Brown reportedly says he’s already booked solid with his nationwide tour with Usher...and there’s even talk of adding more dates.
He also argues that there’s no evidence he has hidden or fraudulently transferred assets to avoid paying the debt.
Adding another twist, Brown says he now lives in Las Vegas, more than 150 miles from the courthouse, and claims California law limits these types of financial examinations to that radius.
Meanwhile, the judge has already approved Avila taking a portion of Brown’s tour earnings until the $13 million debt is paid off.
