Streaming giants TIDAL has advertised their brand as a streaming platform by artistes, for artistes. Since their inception, TIDAL has been the service that pays their musicians the most.
One million streams on TIDAL will get an artiste paid more money than on any of their streaming competitors.
However, they have been accused of embellishing their streaming numbers for Kanye West’s ‘The Life of Pablo’ album and Beyonce’s ‘Lemonade’.
According to BloombergQuint, an investigation was opened today against Jay-Z’s service in Norway by the Norwegian Authority for Investigation of Economic and Environmental Crime.
However, TIDAL on January 14, released a statement to clear the air and let it be known they are not under investigation.
