Reggae Firebrand Capleton is set to headline ENCORE LIVE: Culture Rising on Sunday, August 30.
The day-to-evening reggae experience will also feature reggae artiste Nesbeth and Grammy-certified saxophonist Dean Fraser, with music by DJ Delano of Renaissance and Bass Odyssey.
Organisers, Midas Entertainment say the line-up is deliberately built around different but interconnected elements of Jamaican music culture, with Capleton at its centre.
They say the sound system component of Culture Rising adds another layer to that story.
The staging also arrives during an active new recording chapter for Capleton.
His latest album, Heights Of Fire, was released on June 26 through Evidence Music, marking his first full-length album in 16 years.
The 16-track project features Damian Marley, Stephen Marley and Eesah and continues themes of spirituality, justice, resistance and righteousness that have remained central to Capleton’s music throughout his career.
Midas Entertainment hosted The album's listening session recently, where Errol Smith spoke with the Zee the Artiste's musical legacy.
