Dancehall entertainer Chronic Law, whose real name is Ackeme Jermane Campbell, is set to appear in federal court in Georgia on August 31 for arraignment on a firearm charge.
The 32-year-old deejay was arrested in Miami on July 5 and remains detained without bond. The case stems from an alleged November 2025 police pursuit in Turner County, Georgia, during which authorities say he fled from deputies at speeds exceeding 120 mph.
Federal prosecutors allege that four firearms and 92 rounds of ammunition were recovered, including one gun reported stolen in Miami. They further claim Campbell later admitted the firearms belonged to him and that, while in the U.S. on an O-1B visa, he did not have the required authorisation to possess them.
If convicted, he could face up to 15 years in federal prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of up to US$250,000.
The allegations have not been proven in court.
