Legendary actress Julie Andrews has confirmed that she will not reprise her role as Queen Clarisse Renaldi in the upcoming “Princess Diaries 3.”
The Oscar-winning actress said producers spent much of last year trying to convince her to return for the sequel, but she ultimately declined the offer.
Andrews explained that she considers herself effectively retired from on-screen acting and believes the franchise can continue successfully without her character.
Anne Hathaway is still set to reprise her role as Mia Thermopolis in the long-awaited third film.
