Sunshine Girls Crush Trinidad and Tobago in Commonwealth Opener

Jamaica’s Sunshine Girls opened their Commonwealth Games netball campaign with a dominant 81-22 victory over Trinidad and Tobago in Glasgow.

Azara Wilmot led the scoring with 33 goals on her senior debut, while captain Shamera Sterling-Humphrey praised the team’s defensive effort.

The Sunshine Girls will face New Zealand today as they aim for a second straight win in Pool B.

Meanwhile, Sabrina Lyn advanced to the 100m breaststroke final, while Jamaica’s 3x3 basketball team secured one win from three matches.
