The Ministry of Labour and Social Security is warning Jamaicans about fraudulent Canada Work Programme registration certificates currently circulating.
The Ministry says it does not issue certificates confirming applicant registration for overseas employment opportunities and is urging the public not to make payments, share personal information, or trust unverified documents.
The warning follows the release of the Ministry’s list of approved overseas job placement agencies for July 2026.
Members of the public are reminded to use only officially approved agencies when seeking overseas employment opportunities.
The Ministry is encouraging Jamaicans to verify information directly with the agency or through the Ministry’s official channels before applying.
