Health Officials Urge HIV Testing Ahead of Vincymas

Share

Health officials in St. Vincent and the Grenadines are urging residents and visitors to take extra precautions as new HIV infections continue to rise, particularly among people aged 25–29 and men over 60.

More women are getting tested, but many new positive cases are still being detected among men.

Authorities are reminding the public that HIV cannot be identified by appearance and are encouraging consistent condom use, regular testing, and responsible behaviour, especially during the Vincymas carnival season.

Early testing and treatment remain key to reducing transmission and improving long-term health outcomes.
