Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen collapsed during a friendly match against Ukraine in Odense, but the Danish Football Association says he is now conscious and doing well.
The game was stopped in the 65th minute after Eriksen went down, though he was later able to walk off the pitch with medical assistance.
Team doctor Morten Boesen said Eriksen briefly lost consciousness but recovered quickly, and his implantable cardioverter defibrillator appeared to function as intended.
Eriksen is undergoing further medical tests to determine the cause of the incident, with officials saying he has sent his regards to teammates and supporters.
