Brandon Clarke, forward for the Memphis Grizzlies, has died at the age of 29.
The NBA team said it was “heartbroken” by the loss, describing Clarke as an outstanding teammate and respected member of the Memphis community.
Clarke, a first-round NBA Draft pick in 2019, played 309 career games and averaged 10.2 points per game during his time in the league.
Tributes have also poured in from the NBA and his agency, which remembered him as a kind and caring person whose impact extended beyond basketball.
