At this year’s Met Gala, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky sparked online chatter after being filmed in an apparent heated exchange while leaving the event.
In a short clip circulating online, the pair were seen sitting in the back of a car, where Rihanna appeared visibly annoyed as she spoke, while Rocky responded but often avoided eye contact. At one point, Rihanna leaned forward during the conversation as the exchange continued in a tense tone. The moment ended with the couple briefly separating afterwards.
The incident came just hours after Rocky publicly praised Rihanna on the red carpet, calling her “shining like a diamond,” adding contrast to the night’s earlier romance-filled appearances.
Despite the viral footage, fans have largely defended the couple, noting that disagreements, especially after a long high-profile event, are normal, particularly for parents of three young children.
