The JDF Coast Guard intercepted a go-fast boat off Treasure Beach, St Elizabeth, seizing 2,544 kg of cocaine.
Three suspects were detained in connection with the operation, which included a detailed search of the vessel and equipment.
The confiscated drugs, valued at over J$1.3 billion, were handed to the Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division of the police.
The JDF emphasized that the operation demonstrates its ongoing commitment to securing Jamaica’s borders against transnational organized crime.
