Popcaan Says Kdot’s Music Is Not Welcomed in His Presence

Dancehall artiste Popcaan is going viral again after a video of him telling his associates to “skip” a Kendrick Lamar song began circulating on social media.

The video shows a seemingly annoyed Popcaan, sitting beside an associate, asking if it's Kendrick’s song that he is hearing.
Another associate informs him that it is the radio playing. The St. Thomas native instructs him to “skip dat” because he doesn’t want to hear it.

“Tun awf dat! Change di station... dem too extra! ...Mi nuh wah hear nuh Kendrick Lamar… all when mi independent, a OVO mi ting deh same way… yea, a loyalty mi deal wid,” he says, before showing off his OVO tattoo.

Most fans weren’t surprised by the comments made by the “Ova Dweet” singer, as he has always pledged allegiance to Drake’s OVO camp ever since he became friends with the rapper in 2012.

On the popular blog page The Shaderoom, people left comments like, "Probably one of the most loyal in Drake’s corner" and "Some of y’all don’t know about loyalty and it shows." Another person said, "You can like who you like but it’s the LOYALTY FOR ME! In a world full of followers and bandwagon jumpers, it’s so refreshing to see genuine loyalty and staying true to your people regardless of what others think 🙌🏽 Respect," while another commented, "If you ain’t loyal like this behind my back… stay far from round me!!!"
