Wayne Rooney has called on Manchester United to give Michael Carrick the manager’s job on a permanent basis.
Since taking over in January, Carrick has led United to seven wins in nine games, including a 3-1 victory over Aston Villa at Old Trafford.
Rooney praised Carrick’s calm leadership and connection with the players, saying it has improved team performance and cohesion.
Carrick, meanwhile, remains focused on upcoming matches and says he is not distracted by speculation about his future, emphasizing that he is “doing the best I can” for the club.
