As anticipation builds around Reggae Sumfest' 1-night only concert in St. Ann in July, concerns have been raised about the traffic congestion which may be experienced in the Runaway Bay area as the show which will feature Vybz Kartel and Mavado Live, is set for Plantation Cove in St. Ann.
In an interview with the Zee, Mayor Of St. Ann's Bay, Michael Belnavis, says the Police, based on their past experience with events in area, should be able to handle the expected traffic gridlock with strategies to be implemented along the thoroughfare.
Meanwhile, the thoroughfare is also expected to be widened in the coming months as the are is now an entertainment zone. However, its not clear if this expansion will take place in time for the busy season.
