Defence lawyer Hugh Wildman asked the court to strike a key eyewitness’s testimony in the trial of six policemen over the 2013 Acadia Drive shootings.
He argued the witness met with prosecutor Kathy Ann Pyke and another witness beforehand, risking coaching and contaminated evidence.
The eyewitness testified she saw three men shot, but Wildman says her account may have been influenced.
The six accused officers, including Sergeant Simroy Mott and Constable Andrew Smith, face murder charges; the defence will respond today.
