Almost ten years after “Loodi” shook up dancehall, Vybz Kartel and Shenseea are outside together again, and fans are already in a frenzy.
The duo is set to drop “Panic” this Friday, February 20, marking their second collaboration since the 2016 breakout hit that helped launch Shenseea onto the global stage.
On Valentine’s Day, they turned up the excitement even more, teasing the track with a visualizer and urging fans to preorder, sending social media into overdrive.
The single is produced by TJ Records alongside Kartel’s own imprint, and it arrives while he is dominating the iTunes Reggae Songs chart. “Born Ready” currently sits at number one, with “God Says” and “Sym” also holding top spots. Safe to say, Kartel is not playing.
Their previous collab, “Loodi,” has racked up more than 51 million views on YouTube, becoming one of the era’s defining dancehall anthems.
God and Time will feature 14 tracks and several major collaborations.
For Shenseea, the timing is just as strategic as the "Hit and Run" artiste has been hinting at her third studio album dropping later this year.
